  • Improve OH representation by including VSL and methane emissions
  • Development of chemical forecasting capabilities and data assimilation
    • 10-day Global 1 degree Spectral Element (CSLAM) dynamical core
    • 3-day Global 1/4 degree Spectral Element (CSLAM) dynamical core
  • CMIP7 Tier 1 and Tier 2 developments and model simulations
    • Tier 1 Workhorse mid-top model with T4S chemistry
    • Tier 2 Workhorse mid-top model with T5S chemistry (T1S with VSL) and interactive methane + TUV-X
  • Test interactive fire model with T4S for CMIP7 and T5S for HTAP3-Fires
  • Improve aerosol representation and chemistry and radiative forcing
    • New nitrate aerosol implementation
