CESM Tutorial at the WRCP Conference in Kigali, Rwanda

A group from CGD hosted a very successful CESM tutorial on the AWS cloud at the World Climate Research Program Open Science Conference (WRCP conference) in Kigali, Rwanda. We were pleased to welcome 28 diverse participants coming from around the world.

Our tutorial spanned two evenings, from 7 to 10 pm. Attendees, instructors, and helpers demonstrated real dedication after a long day of conference talks. They chose to forgo socializing opportunities and free beer and food at the ice-breaker just for the love of CESM.

Despite challenges with a slow and occasionally unreliable internet connection, everyone displayed a very positive attitude and commendable patience. On the other hand, who could have dreamt to be honored to have two Chief Scientists as tutorial helpers?
