Tutorial on How to Run the CSM

for Paleoclimate Applications


The following tutorial is designed to step you through the process of running the CSM for Paleoclimate applications. Although it is meant to be as general as possible, examples and scripts were written with the NCAR CRAY computers in mind. If you are not running on any of these machines, you will need to further modify the scripts as appropriate for your machine.

The base CSM code can be obtained through the CSM Homepage . You can also obtain the NCAR MPI libraries through this page, however, if you are running on a different architecture, it is best to use your vendor supplied MPI library. Code modifications for paleo applications can be obtained here.
