iCESM1.2 Last Interglacial simulation
The LIG simulation was performed by Joseph Schnaubelt for the NSF NCAR Paleo Group and used to validate proxy system models for the Last Interglacial reanalysis led by Prof. Matt Osman. The simulation follows PMIP protocols, with orbital configuration and greenhouse gas concentrations set to values at 127 ka B.P. It uses preindustrial vegetation and ice sheets and was initialized from a water-isotope-enabled preindustrial simulation using iCESM1.2. The simulation was run with iCESM1.2 at nominal 2-degree resolution in the atmosphere/land components and nominal 1-degree resolution in the ocean/sea ice components.
The corresponding PI control simulation is the one in the iCESM1.2 Deglacial Slice Simulations.
