The environment variables recognized by build-namelist are presented below.

Note that the commandline argument
precedence over the environment variable.
If values of the specific variables that set the thread count for each
component, i.e., atm_nthreads, cpl_nthreads,
or ocn_nthreads, are set via
-infile options, then
these values have highest precedence. The
environment variable has next highest precedence for setting any of the
component specific thread count variables. Lowest precedence for setting
these variables is the value of
nthreads from the configure cache file.
