18th Annual CESM Workshop: Announcement
NCAR's Climate and Global Dynamics Division is pleased to announce its 18th Annual CESM Workshop being held at The Village at Breckenridge from 17 - 20 June 2013. This year's workshop will be a combination of plenary presentations, special interest presentations by the CESM working groups, and a poster session for participants to highlight their work. We hope you'll join us this summer in Breckenridge. [register now]
Working group co-chairs will select talks and posters from the submitted list of presentations. The talks will be chosen based on the goals and program of each particular working group session.
Because the space that we have available for the poster session is finite, we cannot guarantee that a presentation will be granted. If you are chosen to present a poster, please check the agenda, and be available during the poster session for comments and questions. Posters will be available for viewing for the remainder of the workshop. Posters must fit a 4' x 4' space. Push pins will be provided for you.
We have a limited number of funds to assist those who would not otherwise be able to attend the workshop. This usually includes ground transportation and lodging. Please request travel assistance in the on-line registration by registering in Phase I that opens on 18 March 2013. Those who have requested travel assistance will be notified of their status by approximately 1 May 2013.
The town of Breckenridge has a lot to offer - a beautiful mountain setting, variety of restaurants, shopping, golf, hiking, 4-wheeling, horseback riding, kayaking, hot air balloon rides, and several spas, to name just some of the highlights. We think you'll enjoy your free time.
The workshop will be held at The Village at Breckenridge. The majority of our sessions will be held in the Liftside Inn Building. Final locations will be available on the agenda closer to meeting time.
